Nero Burning Rom 12 serial key or number

  Hi Lotus,
  Was your serial/licence number for Nero 12 Platinum or Nero 12 "standard"?
  
  Or did you have only Nero Burning Rom on its own?
  
  If it was for a Nero 12 suite, the licence number would be something like this:
  
  E-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
  
  39 Characters (including the hyphens) The "X"s would be your proper code - not all X's.
  
  DON'T post your real number here though .
  
  Made sure no typo's?
  Made sure the zero's are zeros and not the letter "O"?
  
  If you did have Nero 12 Platinum before, for example you would need to download from Nero Previous products download website the correct software package - install it and then enter the licence number for that.
  
  If you are not sure what your licence number was, there is a chance that you can have Nero Tech Support advise you, if you send an email to techsupport@cromwellpsi.com, explaining the problem and if you advise them what your email address was when you initially purchased the software, they might be able to locate the correct licence number from their records

  So that is for the Burning Rom stand alone software.
  
  Is there some kind of error message coming up?

  It told me that the key was valid but not for the software I installed yet the software is Nero burning rom 12 so I'm slightly confused.

  Yes I did. And when it comes to putting the number in it tells you that the serial number should start with something different to mine :-/
