GraphPad Prism 5.0 serial key or number

You can find your Prism serial number in the About Prism dialog which you reach by dialog which you can reach by dropping the Help Menu (Windows) or the Prism Menu (macOS) and choosing the About Prism command. Please note, that starting with Prism 6, the number is partially masked - the last 8 symbols of the serial number are replaced by hash signs (#).

If you need to change the serial number, you'll need to use one of the following methods, depending on which version of Prism you have.

Prism 5 or later -- There is a choice on the Prism Help Menu for Enter New Serial Number. This will let you change the serial number Prism uses, as well as your company/institution and name.

Prism 3 or Prism 4 -- If you hold the CTRL key down while dropping the Prism Help Menu. There will be a choice called License Agreement. This will let you update your serial number.

The Prism serial number is stored in a file. For Prism 4 it is called cromwellpsi.com, for Prism 5 it is cromwellpsi.com, for Prism 6 it is cromwellpsi.com, for Prism 7 and 8 serial number file is named:  cromwellpsi.com

Updating Prism Windows , , or to
While running Prism ,, , or drop the Help menu and choose Check For Updates. If you have a problem with the updating process, download and run this updater instead. If you have any trouble getting the update to work, please email support@cromwellpsi.com requesting a link to a full installer. It is essential that you include your serial number with this request.

If you are using a network license
When run using a network license, Prism is installed on a single shared hard drive (server). Therefore the update only has to be installed once, on that shared drive. This cannot be done while anyone is using Prism. To check, look in the licenses folder within the Prism program folder and make sure there are no files with an .lic extension. The presence of these files demonstrate that someone is using Prism.

If you own an earlier version of Prism…
The update is only free to people who already own Prism 5. Owners of earlier versions will need to purchase an upgrade.

If you are using the Prism demo
It is not possible to update the Prism demo. Instead, download and install the demo again.

Before you start

Before installing ensure that you have purchased the correct number of licenses and for the correct platform. If you have not, then please purchase a license from ISD Purchasing via an Electronic IDT stating the name and userid of the user in the order.

Instructions

1. Ensure that the software version you are licensed for has downloaded completely before proceeding and double click on the .exe file to start the installation process.

2. The UAC security window will come up, click yes to proceed.

3. Select the install location

4. Enter serial number

5. To activate make sure the machine is connected to the internet and click Enter activation code

6. This will open an internet browser where you will need to complete the graphpad prism registration form

7. Once the form is submitted an activation code will be emailed to you

8. Check your email for an email sent direct from Graphpad Orders (orders@cromwellpsi.com) containing the activation code for the linked computer name

9. Enter the activation code and accept the license agreement
